Wooo Hooo! Spring has sprung here in Utah. As many of you already know, because I know you are all waking up in the morning in hopes of reading my blog posts, that earlier this week I was out riding my bike. It has been in the 60's this whole week. Even up here at the mountain house we have had temperatures in the high 50's! So yes the great thaw is on....UNTIL this morning! We had a cold front come through yesterday and we watched, from our little weather station, the temperatures drop 20+ degrees. Then the storm came in...at first it started with rain, then sleet, and finally snow! We woke up this morning to about 10 inches of freshies! (Need we say SKI DAY!)
Stats:
Yesterday's high temp at the mountain house: 58 degrees F.
Today's high temp at the mountain house: 22 degrees F.
Past 24 hour snow totals: 10 inches
Now I know that the weather man here in UT have really no clue what is going to happen with the weather, but they are claiming that there are four more storms headed our way between now and April 15th. We will see what really happens, but regardless the race directors of the Great Thaw Arrive at the Drive wanted to keep all contestants informed of current race conditions!
