Snow Snow and More SNOW!

We got an EPIC snowstorm last night! I couldn't be more happy about it!  In total the Norman household is happy to report an estimated 36 inches of fresh pow up on the mountain.

Yes, I am sure you can tell I am not the only member of the Norman family pumped about all the snow!
I've got some pictures of the snow this morning from around our house, to put things in perspective of just how much snow we received last night.  The crazy thing is that I wouldn't exactly call this a big snow year.  We have been a little low and so a storm like this is always welcomed!

Marc decided to drive the snowkitty up last night to make sure that our driveway was packed down from all of the snow.  When we get such a large snow fall it is hard for our snowmobiles to make it through.  My snowmobile certainly struggled last night getting up and I of course...almost rolled it.

This sign was Marc's labor of love this past summer.  The sign was a wedding gift from Troy and Sheri and it was designed by our friend Kimmy back in Milwaukee.  In the past we had it mounted to a pair of birch trees, but this summer Marc built an entry way for the house and hung the sign on it.  And yes, he really did build the entry himself.  He cut down the trees from our lot, debarked them, sanded, stained, and mounted them!

The distance from the ground to the bottom of the sign is about 16 feet.  This picture gives you an idea of just how much snow/snowpack we have right now.  The high end of the snowkitty has about 1 foot left of clearance, and the low end is about 18 inches.

One last picture...our Tuff shed is almost completely buried!  Crazy huh!

Oh one last thing readers...it's supposed to be 60 degrees on Thursday!  Gotta love the spring time here in the SLC !
