After several fun days in Moab, we moved our wedding party 250 miles north to Salt Lake City. We had always planned on a small wedding in Moab for our families and best friends, but wanted to share our wedding celebration with everyone else by hosting a party at our house.
All summer long Marc, myself, and all of our friends worked on our little Mt. House doing project after project. Our deadline was to complete everything by our wedding reception date of September 6. There were plenty of days where we questioned if we would have the house ready in time for our reception, but thanks to the countless hours that we put in and help from all of our friends we made it. (Thank you super friends!)
Marc and I take such pride in our house and it was so wonderful for us to be able to share it with our family and friends. Thankfully the weather held out for us (the weekend before we did have snow) and most everyone had a fantastic time.
The outside of the house (a symbol of our slave labor all summer long) and a tent set up in the lower section of our driveway.
Due to limited parking spaces we hired Canyon Transportation to shuttle everyone up and down the our road. I think this gave everyone an exciting adventure up to the house.
My brother Richard, Kelly Kurtz, Judy and Jack Lynch enjoying the deck outside. It is scary but Richard being a teacher molds the minds of America, I'm sure he is sharing some words of wisdom here with everyone.
The cupcakes and cheesecakes!
Shannon and Ricky...ode' to my fellow Villagers!
