Meltdown or Progress

So yes we do have our new floor in and it is beautiful!  (I promise flooring pics this weekend.)  Many of you have express concern for my pups well being since the removal of his green carpet. (Lately, my conversations with friends go something like this, "Hi Cat, how's Yeti dealing with the remodel and the floor?" Seems as though he's got a following!)  Tonight we attempted to let Yeti walk across the floor for the first time. Throughout the flooring install all of us have been "hiking" up the back side of the house to our balcony off of our bedroom.  Yeti has found this the most effective way to get around. Tonight we decided it was time to take off the training wheels and make an attempt on the new floor.

Notice how his back paws are still on the towel that we have on the floor in the mud room. It took us a good 10 minutes to get him this far!

And yes, while that first pictured showed the smile of a confident pup...this next one shows how quickly his confidence can disappear!  Every time we take a few steps forward we have several steps back too!

Last but not least an actual video of Norman coaching the puppy through his mental challenges! Seems as though we still have quite a bit of work ahead of us. He is my "special" dog!
