Here it is....the flooring! It is reclaimed wood that is a mixture of various hardwoods, with a whole lot of character. The hardwood arrived on Friday and we spent all day Saturday demoing and moving it into the house. It needs to acclimatize in our house for two weeks prior to installation. While Marc and I were very excited to see the new hardwood arrive there was a member of the Norman family that was less than impressed with all it's charm.

Enter into this story - White Dog. Now as many of you know Yeti Norman has a bit of an anxiety issue with flooring. I don't know the root of this problem and I blame it on his other owner as this all occurred before my time. (Neither of us understand his "issues" especially since this dog will jump off of any cliff or mountain without much hesitation and no hesitation if there is snow below.) Needless to say the green carpet in the living room has served as his sanctuary since we moved up to the mountain.
Well as of this weekend, Yeti got to have one last romp on the palisades of greenery because it went for a magic carpet ride to the dump!
Again, the doggy protests continued as we were pulling up the carpet. His face screams a mixture of fear and angry at the same time! The thing that cracks me up are the number of text messages cheering for the green carpet being tossed aside and messages of concerns for the mental well being of Yeti.
And now for the most pitiful picture of all time! I laid his blankets down on the sub floor so he would be a little bit more comfortable. He spent most of the day hiding out on the stair landing that has about a 2x2 inch square of green carpet remaining on it. (Shhh don't tell him...that's going to go too!)
