I know, quite the title, but yes our little sugar crack whores (Latin species name for Humming bird) are back! Last year we went through a 20lb bag of sugar from Costco for these little guys and I'm sure this year will be the same. They are pretty amazing little birds and we can have any where in the range of 1 - 12 on a feeders at a given time. Last year we even had an orange hummer. That was amazing to see...certainly hope he comes back again this year too.
The return of the hummers is a clear sign that summer...we skipped spring...has finally arrived! This week we finally made the switch here in Utah to high 70's and yes the weatherman even mentioned the possibility of 80's! Whoo hoo! Now if we could only just drive down the driveway...we are still at least a good week away from that happening!
