Hostile Neighbors!

For the past several weeks now we have had a mom and baby moose hanging out in our hood.  We'll actually it is more like they have moved in next door and do not really care for us as neighbors.  Mom moose's are very protective of their little ones and this mom has turned out to be down right ornery.  

Norman and I have had to look over our shoulders at all times in order to get in and out of the driveway and have now built in extra "commute time" to get down the mountain. We've been stuck several times waiting upwards of 30 minutes to get by, she has charged and stomped her feet at us, and we have even parked the quad below the house and hiked home in order to avoid her. 

It doesn't look like she intends to move out any time soon, and while we like having her and her calf around I'm just hoping we can come to some sort of mutual relationship where we each respect one another.
