A farewell to the Village!

That's right I grew up in a Village...Elm Grove Village.  This past December my parents sold our childhood house and retired to Nashville...in a nut shell they sold my childhood.  (Ohhh meowch...that was the bus running them over!)  Below is a little photo montage to our old house on 13455 Marquette Ave.

 Ahh my childhood...it all happened in this house.  From kickball and watching the fourth of July fireworks in the front yard, to may bbq's, holidays, and birthdays inside.  It was always a house with lots of fun and love!

The room I grew up in!  It was the coolest, and check out my sweet light switch cover.  Unfortunately the new owners wanted it otherwise I am sure it would have made the trip to Nashville. 

The kitchen...truly the heart of the home.  A lot of good times and great meals were cooked here. Looks weird without any furniture inside.  These pictures were taken just a day or two before my parents moved.

13455 Marquette Ave. we lived here for over 25 years! 

Living in the same city as Marquette University meant that this street sign went missing several times throughout our 25 + years on the street.  It took the village of EG several years to finally realize that if they put Legion Dr. on top of Marquette it made it a lot more difficult to take it!
